 "A World Without Love" ต้นฉบับเป็นผลงานเพลงชิ้นแรกของ ดูโ อ ชาวอังกฤษ Peter Asher และ Gordon Waller, ออกสู่ตลาดเพลงเมื่อเดือนกุมภาพันธ์ ปี 1964 ขึ้นถึงอันดับ 1 ของชาร์ทเพลงประเทศอังกฤษเมื่อเดือนเมษายนในปีนั้น และติดอันดับสูงสุดของ The Billboard Hot 100 ของ สหรัฐอเมริกา
เพลงนี้เป็นผลงานการประพันธ์ของ Paul McCartney ร่วมกับ John Lennon  ซึ่งไม่ได้มีความเกี่ยวข้องใดๆกับสตูดิโอของ The Beatles หากแต่เป็นสินค้านำเข้าจากญี่ปุ่น

และเป็นหนึ่งใน 500 เพลงของ The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

เมื่อเดือนสิงหาคม 2005, Peter and Gordon หวนกลับมาคืนเวทีดนตรีอีกครั้งหลังจากห่างหายไปนานกว่า 30 ปี โดยตระเวณแสดงดนตรีในรัฐ Chicago, New Jersey  Las Vegas และ "A World Without Love" ยังคงเป็นพลงที่ชื่นชอบของแฟนเพลงของเขาอยู่เช่นเดิม
