เพลงจากผลงานของ Lobo หรือโรแลนด์ เคนท์ ลาวัว (Roland Kent LaVoie) นักร้อง-นักแต่งเพลงที่มีชื่อเสียงในยุค70ซึ่งประสบความสำเร็จเป็นอย่างมาก และมีเพลงติดอันดับท็อปเท็นหลายเพลง

Me and You And A Dog Named Boo สร้างชื่อเสียงให้เขามาก จนโปรดิวเซอร์ฟิล เจร์นฮาร์ด เกรงว่าเพลงนี้จะทำให้ฝูงชนทราบเรื่องของเคนท์จนเกินไป และเคนท์จะเกิดปัญหาในการใช้ชีวิต จึงตั้งนามแฝงให้ใช้ในการแสดงว่า โลโบ (เป็นภาษาสเปน แปลว่า หมาป่า) ซึ่งเคนท์อธิบายว่าสื่อความหมายถึงหมาป่าที่โดดเดี่ยว

เนื่องจากในในวัยเด็กเขาเติบโตมาจากสถานสงเคราะห์ ในเมืองแทลละแฮสซี รัฐฟลอริดา สหรัฐอเมริกา พ่อแม่แท้ๆของตัวเองมีหน้าตาอย่างไรก็ไม่รู้ด้วยซ้ำ ความรู้ทางด้านดนตรีก็เก็บเกี่ยวมาจากข้างถนน และนี่คือที่มาของเพลงนี้ เธอและฉันกับหมาที่ชื่อเจ้าบู

ความสำเร็จของ Boo ทำให้อัลบั้มเดี่ยวของเคนท์ในชื่อ “โลโบ” ถือกำเนิดขึ้นโดยอัลบั้มแรกก็คือ Introducing Lobo ในปี พ.ศ. 2515 จากนั้น อัลบั้มที่สอง A Simple man ก็ตามมา และตามด้วยเพลงที่เขาได้รับรางวัลแผ่นเสียงทองคำคือ I’d Love You To Want Me

ในปี พ.ศ. 2516 อัลบั้ม Calumet ได้ออกสู่ท้องตลาด และเพลง How Can I Tell Her ก็กลายเป็นเพลงดังติดอันดับสองในปีพ.ศ. 2516
