กลุ่มนักดนตรี อเมริกันโฟล์คซอง  The Kingston Trio เมื่อต้นยุค 60's นักดนตรีจาก  Palo Alto, มลรัฐ California,  สมาชิกของวงมี 3 คน คือ Dave Guard, Bob Shane, และ Nick Reynolds ค.ศ.1958 เป็นปีแรกที่มีการจัดพิธีมอบรางวัลแกรมมี่ หรือรางวัลตุ๊กตาทองสาขาการดนตรีให้กับเพลงยอดเยี่ยมประเภทต่างๆ และGrammy award for Best Country & Western Performance, รางวัลยอดเยี่ยมประเภทคันทรี่และเวสเทิร์นตกเป็นของThe Kingston Trio นับเป็นวงแรกที่ได้รับ จากซิงเกิลเพลง Tom Dooley ในปีต่อมา ค.ศ.1959 The Kingston Trio กลับได้รับ Grammy Award for Best Ethnic or Traditional Folk Recordin รางวัลยอดเยี่ยมประเภทเพลงโฟล์ค จากผลงานดนตรีในอัลบั้มชุด The Kingston Trio   At Large   จนมาถึงปี 2000 กลุ่มนักร้องที่ได้รับคัดเลือกเข้าหอเกียรติยศ  Vocal Group Hall of Fame in 2000 คือวง Kingston Trio The Kingston Trio in 2003 George Grove, BobShane, Bobby Haworth (bassist Paul Gabrielson)
