Streets of London ประพันธ์โดย Ralph McTell. ศิลปินสายเลือดอังกฤษ ที่สร้างผลงานเพลงแนว Folk Song บทเพลงที่ทำให้เขาประสบความสำเร็จคือ Street of London
ผลงานของเขาผลิตไว้ครั้งแรก เมื่อปี 1969 ในอัลบั้มชื่อ Spiral Staircase แต่นำมาตัดออกเป็น
ซิงเกิลในปี 1974. ครั้งนั้นประสบความสำเร็จขึ้นสู่อันดับ 2 ของอังกฤษ UK singles chart, จำหน่ายได้มากกว่าวันละ  90,000 copies จนทำให้เขาได้รับรางวัล The Ivor Novello Award. เพลงนี้รู้จักกันทั่วทั้งในยุโรป ลอนดอน และปารีส

มีนักร้องหลายคนนำมาเล่นหลายๆรูปแบบ เช่น Mary Hopkin ในปี 1970 ,Glen Campbell ในปี 1978 Sinéad O'Connor ในปี 1994. ในเวอร์ชั่นพั้งค์ของ The Sex Pistols,ในแนวคลาสสิคกีตาร์ของ John Williams  

เนื้อหาของเพลงกล่าวถึงความหลากหลายของชีวิตบนถนนในกรุงลอนดอน ที่มีให้เห็นหลายรูปแบบ ทั้งคนยากไร้ข้างถนน ในขณะเดียวกับที่ชายชราบางคนนั่งจิบชารุ่นคิดอยู่เดียวดายในคาเฟ่ยามดึกดื่น แล้วก็เดินกลับบ้านอย่างโดดเดี่ยว  กับอีกซีกหนึ่งของถนนในบ้านพักคนชรามีคนบางคนที่ยังเหลือความทรงจำอันลางเลือนที่ถึงแม้จะมีเหรียญเกียรติยศประดับ แต่ฮีโร่คนนี้ก็ถูกโลกลืมไปแล้ว
