Bobby Helms - My Special Angel

Bobby Helms ( 15 สิงหาคม,1933 – 19 มิถุนายน,1997 ) นักร้องชาวอเมริกัน ผู้ประสบความสำเร็จกับผลงานเพลงในปี 1957 เขาเกิดในครอบครัวของนักดนตรีที่เมือง Bloomington,รัฐอินเดียน่า บนถนนสายดนตรีเริ่มจากการที่เขาจับคู่ Duo เล่นกับพี่ชายในแนวเพลงคันทรี

เขาทำได้สำเร็จเมื่อปี 1956, จากนั้นจึงมุ่งสู่เมือง Nashville ,รัฐเทนเนสซี และที่นี่เองเขาได้เกิดกับบริษัทแผ่นเสียงที่ยิ่งใหญ่ในยุคนั้น Decca Records. แผ่นเสียงชุดแรกของ Helms ในปี 1957 ชื่อ "Fraulein" ขึ้นสู่อันดับ 1 ประเภทเพลง country music และเป็น The Top 40 ของเพลง Pop Music พร้อมๆกัน.

ในปีนั้นเอง เพลง "My Special Angel" ก็ออกวางจำหน่ายและขึ้นถึงอันดับ 1 ของ นิตยสารบิลบอร์ดทั้งประเภท country music และเป็น The Top 10 ของเพลงประเภท Pop Music โดยขึ้นสูงสุดที่อันดับ 7

เนื้อหาของเพลงนี้ "My Special Angel" หรือ "(You are)My Special Angel" ชายหนุ่มบอกว่าเธอคือคนพิเศษสำหรับเขา สวรรค์ส่งเธอมาให้อย่างแท้จริง ยามเธอยิ้ม แสนอบอุ่นดังแสงแดดในฤดูร้อน ยามเธอร้องไห้ช่างงามเหมือนต้นไม้ที่ได้ฝน คำชมสาวของเพลงนี้หวานซึ้งกินใจคนที่กำลังมีความรักในยุคนั้นเป็นยิ่งนัก
