Booth-Clibborn แต่งเนื้อขึ้นมาใหม่โดยคงทำนองเดิมไว้ ชื่อเพลง Down From His Glory ปี 1949 Tony Martin นักร้องชาวอเมริกันแต่ง "There's No Tomorrow" จากทำนองของเพลงเก่าแก่"O Sole Mio" ที่ถูกแต่งไว้เมื่อปี 1898  ปี 1959 ระหว่างที่ Elvis Presley อาสาไปรบในนามของกองทัพอเมริกันที่ประเทศเยอรมัน เขาไปได้ยินเพลงนี้เข้า เกิดถูกอกถูกใจ อัดเทปกลับมาแปลงเนื้อร้องใหม่ โดยมอบให้ นักแต่งเพลง 2 คน ช่วยกันคือ Aaron Schroeder และ Wally Gold, โดยใช้ชื่อเพลงว่า It's Now or Never” ออกวางจำหน่ายเป็นแผ่นไวนีลในปี  1960 .  "It's Now or Never" เป็นเพลงอันดับ 1 ในสหรัฐอเมริกา นานถึง 9 สัปดาห์ เพลงนี้ดังไปทั่วโลก เป็นที่รู้จักในหลายประเทศ ในปี 1960 ขายไปทั่วโลกได้มากกว่า 25 ล้าน ก้อปปี้ส์ ได้รับเลือกให้เป็นเพลงนานาชาติที่ยิ่งใหญ่ที่เรียกว่า The Biggest International Single Hit ของเขา รวมทั้งไปติดอันดับ 1 ในชาร์ตเพลงของอังกฤษอีกด้วย  จนมาเมื่อต้นปี  2005, เพลงนี้ถูกนำไปรวมเป็นอัลบั้มใหม่ จึงได้ขึ้นอันดับ 1 ชาร์ตเพลง UK Singles Chart. ของอังกฤษอีกครั้ง คงเป็นเพราะเป็นเพลงฟังง่ายๆ ทำนองติดหู เลยมีการแปลงเนื้อเป็นภาษาโน้นนี้อีกหลายภาษา  ส่วนที่เป็น เวอร์ชั่นภาษาอังกฤษที่ได้รับความนิยมสูงสุดเป็นเสียงร้องของเอลวิส เพรสลีย์     'O Sole Mio โอ โซเล มิโอ เป็นภาษานาโปลีในอิตาลี ( Il sole mio แปลว่า "my sun" ) เพลงนี้แต่งเนื้อเมื่อปี 1898 โดย Giovanni Capurro จิโอวานนี คาเปอร์โร  และแต่งทำนองโดย Eduardo di Capua. เอดูอาโด ดิ คาปัว   เนื้อร้องบรรยายถึงความงดงามของพระอาทิตย์ในบ่ายวันหนึ่ง โดยเปรียบเทียบความงดงามของใบหน้าหญิงสาวคนรัก ที่เป็นเหมือนพระอาทิตย์อีกดวงหนึ่ง คำร้องเพลงนี้ถูกแปลเป็นภาษาอังกฤษมาแล้วหลายครั้ง ในชื่อเพลง "Down From His Glory" เมื่อปี 1921, และเพลง "There's No Tomorrow" ในปี 1949  ขับร้องโดยโทนี มาร์ติน จนมาถึงปี 1960  "It's Now or Never"  ฉบับที่แต่งคำร้องเป็นพิเศษสำหรับเอลวิส เพรสลีย์ ติดอันดับหนึ่งของนิตยสารบิลบอร์ด และชาร์ตในอังกฤษ และนอร์เวย์ ลูชาโน ปาวารอตตี ซึ่งขับร้องเพลงนี้ในปี ค.ศ. 1980 ได้รับรางวัลแกรมมีสาขาการขับร้องเดี่ยวดนตรีคลาสสิก  และได้นำมาขับร้องอีกครั้งร่วมกับปลาซิโด โดมิงโก และโคเซ การ์เรรัส ในนาม "Three Tenors" อำนวยเพลงโดยสุบิน เมห์ธา ในปี ค.ศ. 1990 และ 1994 การแสดงในครั้งนั้นได้รับการจดจำ โดยเฉพาะภาพแสดงการหยอกเย้า ล้อเลียนกันระหว่างปาวารอตติ กับโดมิงโกและการ์เรรัส     ภาษาต้นฉบับ Neapolitan lyrics   Che bella cosa e' na jurnata 'e sole, n'aria serena doppo na tempesta!
