Shakira  ศิลปินสาวซุปเปอร์สตาร์ลาติน เจ้าของเพลงดัง "Whenever, Wherever" และ "Underneath Your Clothes" ที่เป็นเพลงฮิตทั่วโลก เธอประสบความสำเร็จกับอัลบั้มภาษาอังกฤษชุดแรก "Laundry Service" ซึ่งออกจำหน่ายในปี 2001 และทำยอดขายได้มากกว่า 12 ล้านก๊อปปี้ สร้างปรากฏการณ์ความสำเร็จอย่างมากมาย ไม่ว่าจะจากเวที GRAMMY AWARDS , LATIN GRAMMY และ BILLBOARD MUSIC AWARDS
ในปี 2006 นี้ Shakira ยังคงไม่หยุดนิ่งกับความสำเร็จที่ได้รับพร้อมกับส่งซิงเกิ้ลใหม่
ล่าสุดอย่าง “Hips Don’t Lies” เข้าสู่ชาร์ตเพลงทั่วโลกอีกครั้ง
ในซิงเกิ้ล “Hips Don’t Lie” เพลงนี้เป็นการทำงานร่วมกันระหว่าง Shakira กับ Wyclef Jean (ศิลปินอัจฉริยะแห่งวง The Fugees) จนกลายเป็นซิงเกิ้ลเร้าใจชวนยักย้ายส่ายสะโพกในลีลา Reggaeton  ซึ่งเป็นสไตล์ดนตรีแถบแคริบเบียนที่กำลังมาแรงมากในอเมริกาและลาตินอเมริกาในตอนนี้ และความดังของเพลงนี้เอง ทำให้ถูกบรรจุอยู่ในอัลบั้ม VOICES อัลบั้มที่เป็นเพลงประจำการแข่งขันฟุตบอลโลก2006 อย่างเป็นทางการนี้ด้วย จากความดังของเพลงนี้ที่ทำให้ทาง ฟีฟ่า ได้เชิญเธอขึ้นโชว์ ในงานพิธีปิดการแข่งขันฟุตบอลโลก 2006 ที่ประเทศ เยอรมัน สำหรับซิงเกิ้ล “Hip Don’t Lie” เป็นเพลงโบนัสที่บรรจุไว้ในอัลบั้ม Oral Fixation Vol.2 ด้วยเช่นกัน
