"เดวิด คุก" ผู้ชนะการแข่งขัน American Idol ปีที่ 7 ได้รับการโหวตเฉือน "เดวิด อาร์ชูเลตา" คู่แข่งหนุ่มเสียงใสวัยเพียง 17 ปี ไปด้วยคะแนนโหวตและจำนวนผู้ชมที่มากที่สุดเป็นประวัติการณ์

คืนที่ 21 พ.ค.ที่ผ่านมา ขณะที่แฟนบอลทั่วโลกกำลังลุ้นระทึกกับการแข่งขันฟุตบอลนัดชิงชนะเลิศยูฟ่าแชมเปี้ยนลีค  ระหว่างแมนยูกับเชลซี ที่ประเทศรัสเซียนั้น  แต่ที่สหรัฐฯ ชาวอเมริกันทั่วประเทศกำลังรอลุ้นผลผู้ชนะของรายการแข่งขันร้องเพลงชื่อดัง American Idol ที่จัดมาเป็นปีที่ 7 ติดต่อกัน

หลังจากคว้าชัยจากการแข่งขันรายการโทรทัศน์ประเภทเรียลลิตี้โชว์ American Idol ปีที่ 7 David Cook อดีตบาร์เทนเดอร์เสียงห้าววัย 25 จากมิสซูรี่  มีเพลงที่ถูกจัดขึ้นอันดับบิลบอร์ดชาร์ทของอเมริกาพร้อมๆกันหลายเพลงรวมทั้งเพลงนี้ Dream Big ที่ขึ้นถึงอันดับ 15 ของ The Billboard Hot 100 ในปัจจุบัน( 7 มิถุนายน 2551)ซึ่งเนื้อหาของเพลงเล่าถึงความฝีนอันยิ่งใหญ่ที่เกิดขึ้นกับเขาตั้งแต่สมัยยังเยาว์  ถ้าไม่ฝันมันก็ไม่ทะเยอทะยานที่จะก้าวไป แม้แต่คุณเองก็เถอะ     เช็ดน้ำตาซะถึงเวลาที่ต้องเปลี่ยนแปลงตัวเองแล้ว  ยังจะรออะไรอยู่อีก
