หลังจากส่งเพลง"Party in the U.S.A" ขึ้นไปติด TOP10 ในอันดับ 2 ของ The Billboard Hot 100 ประจำวันที่ 29 สิงหาคม 2009 และเคยเป็นเพลงอันดับ 1 ของ  Hot Digital Songs ที่สร้างยอดขายทางการ Download สูงกว่า 226,000 downloads, จนเธอกลายเป็นนักร้องที่อายุน้อยที่สุดบนชาร์ตเพลงไปแล้ว

ณ วันนี้ "Can't Be Tamed" เพลงจากเสียงของ Miley Cyrus นักร้องนักแต่งเพลง ชาวอเมริกัน ซึ่งในเพลงนี้เธอได้เขียนร่วมกับ  Antonina Armato, Tim James, Paul Neumann, และ Marek Pompetzi โปรดิวซ์โดย Armato and James.ออกวางจำหน่ายเมื่อวันที่ 18 พฤษภาคม 2010 ภายใต้ลิขสิทธิ์ของ Hollywood Records เป็นซิงเกิลจากอัลบั้มที่ 3 ในสตูดิโอที่มีชื่อว่า Can't Be Tamed.ซึ่งเป็นชื่อเดียวกันกับอัลบั้ม

"Can't Be Tamed" มีกระแสตอบรับที่ดีมาก จนถูกนำไปสร้างเป็น MV โดย Robert Hales แม้จะใช้โปรแกรมกลองเข้าช่วย แต่ภาพลักษณ์ของเธอนั้นพัฒนาไปไกลกว่าสมัยที่เธอยังเป็นดาวจรัสแสงเมื่อเล่นใน  Hannah Montana, ซีรีส์สุดฮิตของอเมริกา รายการละครชุดทางโทรทัศน์สำหรับเด็ก ที่ได้เข้าชิงรางวัล Emmy Awards ในสาขารายการเด็กยอดเยี่ยมในปี พ.ศ. 2550 ที่ออกอากาศครั้งแรกไปเมื่อปี 2549  ทางช่อง"ดิสนีย์แชนแนล" ในสหรัฐอเมริกา และขายดีมากได้กว่า 15 ล้านอัลบั้ม
