Carrie Marie Underwood ศิลปินสาวชาวอเมริกันเกิดเมื่อ 10 มีนาคม 1983 ที่เมือง Muskogee,รัฐ Oklahoma หลังจากแจ้งเกิดทางด้านร้องเพลง เขียนเพลงในแนวเพลงที่เธอถนัดคือ เพลงป้อป คันทรี่ จนมีผลงานติดชาร์ท The Billboard Country ในอเมริกา แคนาดา อย่าง "Before He Cheats",แล้วก็มีผลงานตามมาเป็นระยะๆ เช่น "So Small",และอีกหลายๆเพลง

จนมาถึงเพลงนี้ "I Told You So". ซิงเกิลที่ 5 จากอัลบั้ม Carnival Ride. ที่ผงาดขึ้นบนชาร์ทเมื่อเดือนกุมภาพันธ์ 2009 ขายได้มากกว่า 9.3 ล้านอัลบั้มในสหรัฐอเมริกาได้รับเชิญเข้า Grand Ole Opry เมื่อ 10 พฤษภาคม, 2008. พอถึงเดือนกุมภาพันธ์ 2009, Carrie Underwood ก็ได้รับยกย่องให้เป็น "Entertainer of the Year" และได้รับการเสนอชื่อเข้าชิง The 2009 ACM Awards.
