I should have known better ผลงานเพลงของ The Beatles จากอัลบั้ม A Hard day Day's Night  ออกวางจำหน่ายครั้งแรกเมื่อวันที่ 8 มีนาคม 1976 เนื้อร้องและดนตรี โดย Lennon/Mcartney โดยมี George Martin เป็นโปรดิวเซอร์ควบคุมการผลิต

แต่มีการบันทึกกันที่  Abbey Road Studios เมื่อวันที่ 25 กุมภาพัน์ 1964 ใข้เวลาแค่ 3 เที่ยวเท่านั้น

 เบื้องหลังของเพลงนี้ The Beatles เคยโคจรไปเจอกับ Bob Dylan ที่ New York เมื่อเดือนกุมภาพันธ์  1964 และ Paul Mcartney ได้ชื่นชมว่าเนื้อหาในเพลงของ ดิแลนมั้นเข้าท่า ส่วน John Lennon นั้นให้เครดิต  ว่า Dylan ป็นผู้จุดประกายให้เขาตั้งชื่อเพลงนี้ว่า I should have known better

การบันทึกเพลงนี้ John Lennon  ร้องนำ เล่นอะคูสติค กีตาร์ และฮาร์โมนิก้า George Harrison ใช้กีตาร์ 12 สาย ของ Rickenbacker รุ่น 360/12  Paul Mcartney เล่นเบส และ Ringo Starr กลอง
